SNK has officially released Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers on Steam, bringing the beloved 2D arcade fighter into the modern era with enhanced online features and competitive upgrades.

Initially launched in 1998, this fan-favorite entry in the Fatal Fury series now joins the NEOGEO Premium Selection, a curated revival of SNK’s legendary arcade titles.

Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomer Overview

Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 retains its fast-paced, combo-heavy gameplay while introducing rollback netcode for smooth online matches. Players can now battle it out in nine-player lobbies, host single and double elimination tournaments, and spectate matches with ease.

The game’s signature Sway Line system, which allows fighters to dodge between foreground and background planes, finally gets its time to shine in online play.

The game also features the largest roster in Fatal Fury history, with 23 playable characters including series icons Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui, and newcomers Li Xiangfei and Rick Strowd. Hidden character Alfred also makes a return.
