Following their recent announcements about Resident Evil and Assassin’s Creed, Netflix is taking more gaming IP’s under its wing with its latest announcement, which is a Tomb Raider animated series from Legendary.

Tomb Raider will be a new series and will follow after the events of the reboot trilogy (Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider), so it would be interesting to see how Netflix will continue with the franchise.

The animated series will be written by Tasha Huo, who is also working on the recently announced spinoff, The Witcher: Blood Orange.

No release date have been given as of writing, so we’ll just have to wait for further announcements from Netflix.
