Silent Hill is a franchise that’s been plagued with rumors and reports for some time now, and adding another one to the list is a claim that multiple Silent Hill games are in the works across multiple studios. The claim comes from the 2006 Silent Hill movie director, Christophe Gans, as posted on ResetEra by credible leaker Dusk Golem. Speaking in an interview with French outlet, Movie and Game, Gans says that he is working on a new movie for the franchise and also says that multiple titles are in the works. “I know a bit about the [next Silent Hill game]. Just ahead of the Tokyo Game Show 2022, which is scheduled to run from September 15–19, Konami has filed a trademark renewal for Suikoden. The filing, which was made a couple of months ago at the IMPI, was issued by Konami for Suikoden and has been making the rounds over the past few days. While it could mean nothing and just a simple renewal, the filing comes suspiciously ahead of TGS 2022 where Konami is said to announce a new title from a series that is “loved all over the world.” One connection to be made as well is that Yuji Kaji, who voices Jowy from Suikoden 2, will be a guest during the said announcement. This, of course, doesn’t mean anything at all, but fans are definitely hoping for an announcement related to the series during TGS2022. Suikoden is a beloved series from Konami that hasn’t seen the light…

Just a little over a week ago, Konami announced that it will be selling a Castlevania Memorial NFT Collection to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the franchise. A total of 14 NFT’s were put on sale on OpenSea over the weekend and to maybe everyone’s surprise, has garnered a total of over $160,000 in sales. One item in particular, which is the pixel art digital map of Dracula’s Castle, fetched for over $26,500, making it the highest valued item among the bunch. It’s quite an absurd idea to pay an amount of money that could have been used for maybe a secondhand vehicle, but instead, use it on something that you can literally download off the internet for free. What a concept, I know. We’re not saying you can download this, but you can totally just download it… The other items in the collection didn’t go for as much, but…

A recent report might spark some hope for fans if proven to be true. This report comes from VGC, who says that they’ve been spoken to by publishing sources anonymously since they didn’t have permission to publicly discuss the projects. These sources have told VGC that after a company restructuring of its game development divisions, Konami is ready to enter the premium games space once again. There are 3 games that Konami is specifically working on according to the report – Metal Gear, Silent Hill, and Castlevania. https://twitter.com/AndyPlaytonic/status/1443927148281143301 Metal Gear, in particular, is interesting because…

As rumors of a new Silent Hill game keep floating about, Bloober Team and Konami have announced that they are entering into a strategic cooperation agreement, which will see both companies “jointly developing selected contents and exchanging know-how.” Piotr Babieno, president of the Bloober Team, says that “It is a historic day for me and the culmination of several years of our work. The fact that such a renowned company as KONAMI has decided to strategically cooperate with the Bloober Team means that we also joined the world leaders in gaming and became an equal partner for the leading players in this market.” It’s been widely speculated for months that Bloober Team may indeed be working on a Silent Hill title, as a report from February sees Babieno also quoted as saying that they are working on another horror IP with a very famous gaming publisher. It has also been reported that a second…

Remember that news report that was confirmed with Konami about P.T. not being downloadable for the PS5? Well, there’s a reason why, and it’s because Konami literally decided not to make it playable. According to a report by Polygon, they’ve confirmed that it was indeed transferrable AND playable from PS4 to PS5 since two weeks ago but all that just suddenly changed. At the moment, the game tile (for those who have it) displays “Playable on PS4” and has become non-playable and non-transferrable to the PS5. https://twitter.com/Polygon/status/1324710801136111616 When Polygon reached out to Sony for a comment, a Sony spokesperson said that it “was a publisher decision.” Well, that’s a massive c***block if I’ve ever seen one myself.

Remember PT? The “Playable Teaser” of what was supposed to have been Silent Hills before being delisted from the PlayStation store around 5 years ago? Some lucky fans out there still have it on their hard drives, owning a valuable copy of history that may never see the light of day ever. While the PlayStation 5 seems to be compatible with around 99% of the PlayStation 4 library, many are wondering whether they could carry over their copies of PT to their new consoles. While it isn’t 100% sure that it would be playable on the PS5, what is sure is that PT won’t make an appearance on the PlayStation 5 store. This comes from a report by Hirun Cryer, reporter from GamesRadar, saying that Konami had sent them an email stating “the content will not be available on the PS Store, so users won’t be able to re-download the…
