Sony and Santa Monica Studio have announced that the highly-anticipated God of War Ragnarok has gone gold a month before its scheduled release date.

Announcing the good news on social media, a special graphic was uploaded by Santa Monica Studio along with a short message thanking everyone for their support.

“On behalf of SMS and all of our partners, thank you to the fans for supporting us over the course of development. We’re almost to launch and can’t wait for you to play on November 9!”

This is certainly good news for fans eagerly waiting for the next adventure of Kratos and Atreus. Going gold means that the game is basically ready for mass production and that a base 1.0 build is now in place. it would be safe to say that the studio will continue polishing the game until it is released, which will be pushed via a day-one patch.
