Geoff Keighley announces the return of The Game Festival on Steam this June

Geoff Keighley was one of the first few celebrities who pulled out of E3 2020 and with the ESA confirming that an online E3 event won’t be happening, players are left to wonder what’s going to happen during that magical time of the year.

IGN has since announced a “Summer of Gaming” event in June and just recently, Keighley also announced that the Steam Game Festival will make its return on June 9-14.

The announcement was made through Keighley’s Twitter account:

The event is meant to be “an entirely new way for us all to gather and celebrate gaming in these uncertain times”, Keighley says in a statement.

A Steam page for the event is already up and you can register your interest by setting up a reminder. Developers can also take part and show of their demos by registering in the link given in the page or through HERE.

Interestingly enough, Keighley also says that the festival will also “expand to more platforms”. Does this mean other streaming mediums? Maybe an Epic Store festival? Or Consoles as well? Whatever it is, and with the success of The Game Awards in the past few years, expect some tricks up Keighley’s sleeve in the coming months.
