Introducing, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends.
As announced on the PlayStation Blog, Senior Game Designer Darren Bridges from Sucker Punch unveils first details about this new co-op multiplayer mode.
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is a separate mode that focuses on four warriors, Legends, as told by the people of Tsushima. Legends takes place in a fantastical world where the setting will be inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology.
Legends is a co-op game more where you team up via online matchmaking to play as a group of 2-4 players, with each choosing one of four classes such as the Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin, with each having skills and abilities that are unique to that class.
2 players will allow you to go on a series of story missions that will require coordination with your teammate while the 4 player mode will see you tackle wave-based survival missions that will even throw new “Oni” enemies with supernatural powers.
There will also be a 4 player raid challenge that will follow soon after the launch of Legends for you to take on the toughest challenges that the game will give you.
More importantly, this co-op multiplayer mode is free for owners of Ghost of Tsushima, and more details shall be given as we get closer to launch, which includes more details on the classes and character customization.
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is a free update for Ghost of Tsushima players and it is scheduled later this year. A PS Plus subscription will be required for online multiplayer.
