Check out some RE:Verse Multiplayer gameplay from the beta

During the huge Resident Evil Village Showcase that announced a May 7 release date for the latest installment in the franchise, multiplayer details have also been revealed. Similar to Resistance, the multiplayer mode that came free with the Resident Evil 3 Remake, Village will come with RE: Verse, a multiplayer offering that features comic-style visuals (which thankfully can be turned off!) in 4-6 deathmatch style battles.

Since then, beta gameplay videos have surfaced online from various channels. Seen below are videos from Zangado and Kendo GunSop Survival Horror, with the latter spotted by VGC.

We were pretty skeptical about it, especially with how Resistance fared, but judging from the videos, it looks to be quite fun when things get hectic. An interesting mechanic here is when you die, you turn into one of the many zombies / monsters in the Resident Evil universe, as you may call it. It looks promising at the very least, compared to Resistance.

Anybody playing this when it comes out? Resident Evil Village (and RE:Verse) is set to release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC on May 7, 2021
