The FNAF world just got bigger with the latest game in the series, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, and developers Steel Wool Studios have released a new trailer during PlayStation’s State of Play, showcasing some really spooky gameplay.

It’s really a massive departure from the previous games, as you’re no longer stuck inside a security room having to constantly watch cameras to fend off killer animatronics. With a bigger new venue in the form of the Mega Pizza Plex, it feels very reminiscent of more classic horror games like Alien: Isolation or Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, where you explore a large open area and are hounded by terrifying monsters.

Whether you will have ways to deal with these horrors, by hiding places or weapons, remains to be seen but either way this latest entry is looking to be really terrifying.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach is being developed by Steel Wool Studios and will be released in 2021 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and 5.
