Indie rogue-lite Rising Hell launches in May

Rising Hell is a vertical platformer rogue-lite launching for consoles and PC in May. It was on Steam Early Access and is now nearing completion from publishers Chorus Worldwide, Toge Productions, and the talented Indonesian devs from Tahoe Games. It’s looking interesting, appearing like a Castlevania game with a dash of Dead Cells, not to mention that it has a banging soundtrack to boot.

Levels will be randomly generated as a staple of the rogue-lite experience, and players will traverse a classic heavy-metal, bloodsoaked imagining of Hell. This isn’t the top-down experience like Hades while you’re serenaded with indie bands, so it’s a different (or similar) sort of experience.

The vertical platformer will pit players against hordes of enemies and facing against gigantic ancient demons such as Dagon and Beelzebub. It’s a fast action-platformer with the threat of permadeath looming in every corner. You can also engage in multiple game modes from a story campaign and challenge modes where you can unlock multiple characters. Sounds like a good addition to the month of May.

Rising Hell launches on May on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
