Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown revealed as a PS4 console exclusive
What first started as a leak that would see a possible Virtua Fighter release on PS Plus, IGN have reported that Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is indeed real and will be a PlayStation 4 console exclusive that will launch on June 1.
According to IGN, the game will “include updated graphics built in a brand new engine as well as new online features, with development being led by an “all-star team” from Sega AM2 and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio [RGG].”

Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown will be remade using RGG’s Dragon Engine and will feature new BGM for the stages, new UI, new opening cinematic, and much more. The game will also allow players to spectate online matches in real-time, and with possibly esports in mind, will have the ability to create round-robin style tournaments.
