Have you gotten your Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Platinum Trophy?
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart launched a month ago to rave reviews from both players and critics, calling it a must play for PlayStation 5 owners. The game is selling well in territories around the world, and despite the PS5 being a tough console to get a hold of, Rift apart has been garnering good sales numbers.
The game can be easily completed in about 10 or so hours depending on how you play, with a rather easy Platinum Trophy. One of the most well known Trophy guide resource out there, PowerPyx, describes the Platinum difficulty a 2/10, something that should almost be an instant-get especially for trophy hunters.
17.3%, or roughly around 1 in every 6 players, have achieved “The Masters of the Multiverse” Platinum Trophy for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. When compared to its 2016 release, only a very small percentage (2.4%) of players have achieved “The Hero of Heroes” Platinum Trophy. It would be understandable for the 2016 title, which required finishing the game on its Challenge Mode (only 7.5%), but there’s no difficulty related trophy for this latest release.
Depending on how you look at it, 17% could be low or high, but considering the difficulty level of said trophy, we were expecting it to be a bit higher.

As for Rift Apart completion rate is concerned, the numbers increase drastically. 46.4% of the players, almost half, have completed the “2 Fuzz 2 Nefarious” trophy, signifying beating the final level of Rift Apart. This is a stark difference to the 23.7% of the players who went on to achieve “The End of the Beginning” trophy from the 2016 release.
Finally, just for fun, we also tallied how many players went on to collect all the weapons for both games and its most sought after collectible.
11.6% of the 2016 Ratchet & Clank players went ahead to acquire every weapon in the game, while about 25.5% of the Rift Apart players pulled the feat on their end. Holocards were the most sought after collectible in the 2016 Ratchet & Clank game that garnered about 8.2% of its player-base, while CraiggerBears got about 19.0% of the Rift Apart players, interestingly enough having almost the same percentage as the platinum achievers.
While collectibles are time consuming without a guide, it’s commendable that many players went out of their way to go after the CraiggerBears, especially when they weren’t marked on the map compared to the other items.
Insomniac certainly made some tweaks in the overall design of the game, and it definitely shows in the numbers presented above. Insomniac did say that the trophy can be achieved in one playthrough, and it also proves that if you have an achievable platinum, more players will definitely go after it even if they aren’t trophy hunters, especially if there’s no difficulty requirement.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is now available exclusively for the Playstation 5.
