Diablo IV ‘Server Slam Weekend’ Coming in May, Last Chance to Play Ahead of Launch
Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Diablo IV will be having its last playable weekend ahead of its June 6 launch.
Called “Server Slam Weekend,” this event will be happening from May 12, 12 p.m.–May 14, 12 p.m. PDT and aims to assist the developers with testing out the server infrastructure in preparation for the upcoming launch.
This weekend will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC, and will feature couch co-op for consoles and cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms. While it will feature the same version as in the previous open beta, it will include all bug fixes and updates detailed in the Open Beta Retrospective blog.
Additionally, players can expect the following from the Diablo IV Server Slam Weekend:
- Any character progress made during the Early Access and Open Beta weekends will not carry over to Server Slam. Additionally, any character progress made during Server Slam will not carry over to launch.
- Players may level up their characters to Level 20, after which they will cease to gain Ability Points, but can continue to slay demons and earn alluring gear.
- The Legendary Item drop rate has been altered to reflect the drop rate that will be present in the launch version of Diablo IV.
- Earn rewards as you play, such as the Initial Casualty title (earned by reaching Kyovashad with one character), the Early Voyager title (earned by reaching Level 20 on one character), the Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic (earned by reaching Level 20 with one character), and a new reward the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy (earned by defeating Ashava with one Level 20 character).
Diablo IV is launching on June 6, 2023, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
