As announced at the RGG Summit held prior to Tokyo Game Show 2023, the much anticipated Like A Dragon sequel, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, receives a release date of January 26, 2024.

Following from the events of Yakuza: Like A Dragon, we follow protagonist Kasuga Ichiban as he makes his way to Hawaii with information of the whereabouts of his estranged mother. As he gets there, he is robbed by a taxi driver and has to fend for himself until he is rescued by long-time Yakuza protagonist: Kazuma Kiryu.

There will be a new Real-Time RPG combat system that combines the brawling aspect of Kiryu’s gameplay mixed with Kasuga’s RPG elements in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Kiryu becomes a fully playable party member in Kasuga’s party, including returning characters from Yakuza: Like A Dragon such as Namba and Adachi.

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be the first Like A Dragon game set outside of Japan with most of the events happening in Hawaii. There will be events set in Japan as well, including the iconic towns of Kamurocho and Yokohama.

There are new jobs available such as Samurai, Action Star, and Hawaii Dancer to name a few. There will also be new Telephone Call summons including many familiar faces from the Like A Dragon universe. With these new gameplay options available, there’s no end to the antics of Kasuga and friends in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

New side quests and activities will be available as well including a Crazy Delivery, where you play a bicycle mini-game akin to being an Uber delivery driver. There is also a dating app mini-game as well, and if that sounds crazy, believe me, I was in stitches laughing.

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth launches on January 26, 2024 on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the PC via Steam.
