Announced during The Game Awards 2025 as part of Total War’s 25th anniversary celebrations, the upcoming real-time strategy game will bring the iconic science-fantasy universe of Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 to life like never before.
A New Era for Total War
For the first time, the award-winning Total War series ventures into the grim darkness of the 41st millennium. Players will command armies across a vast galactic sandbox, forging their own path of conquest while managing fleets, planetary strongholds, and war economies. Expect cinematic real-time battles, apocalyptic weaponry, and the ability to reshape the galaxy through relentless war.
The debut trailer, introduced by Emmy-nominated actor and Warhammer 40,000 superfan David Harbour (Stranger Things, Marvel Cinematic Universe), showcased mankind’s desperate struggle to protect its crumbling empire amidst unending conflict. Harbour will also portray a mysterious character in the game.
