Bandai Namco Filmworks has announced the RG Project, a multimedia initiative spanning anime and games. The first entry, Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX‑ZERO (pronounced “Alex Zero”), premieres in 2027 with animation by SOLA ANIMATION.
Story Setting: After Apocalypse
The narrative begins after humanity receives three revolutionary technologies from an alien object: gravity control, faster‑than‑light communication, and cognitive materialization. Within a decade, the object mutates into a hostile ecosystem called the Apocalypse, forcing humanity to abandon Earth.
Set in A.A. 45 (After Apocalypse), the series follows Ray Azumi, a war orphan who becomes the pilot of Gundam ZERO, voiced by Takeo Otsuka.
