Days Gone developers Bend Studio is working on a brand new IP
A Days Gone 2 pitch was reportedly denied back in April, owing to its lengthy dev cycle and lukewarm reception. Now, it seems that the report has been somewhat confirmed, as Days Gone developers Bend Studio have announced that they are working on a brand new IP.
As mentioned through an interview with Hermen Hulst in the PlayStation Blog and now over the Bend Studio social media accounts, the studio has gone on to confirm that they are “expanding the Bend Studio portfolio with a brand new IP.”
While no information has been given as to what the IP is, Hulst goes on to say that Bend Studio are “building on the deep open-world systems that they developed with Days Gone.”
While it would have been great to see a sequel to Days Gone, a new IP is certainly welcome as well, and it only goes to show that the team and Sony are still very much open to taking risks this generation.
