Leaks suggest that a Crash Bandicoot 4 reveal is coming soon
Some recent Crash Bandicoot evidence is pointing to the possible a new game reveal very soon.
Recently, some lucky people were sent packages that included a puzzle that eventually formed what looks to be a mask of some sort. This isn’t the first time that this was done, as it was pretty much the same gimmick (via Eurogamer) prior to announcing the Crash Team Racing remake.
Notice that on the note, the word “TIME” is in all caps, signifying… something.
According to the Taiwanese age rating listings, a product entry was spotted bearing a new Crash Bandicoot game called Crash Bandicoot: It’s About Time. Coincidence? Maybe, but the evidence looks legit as legit can be.
First of all, there’s actual box art that looks too good to be just some sort of fan render which matches up pretty well to the age rating listing from above. There’s also that note on the Xbox cover that points to it being a cross-generation title, showing the Series X tag.
Also, there’s an overview of the story that says something about a Mask (similar to the puzzle above), which reads like this (Via Gematsu):
Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash’s mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible.
While Activision has not announced anything, almost all evidence points to a reveal happening soon and if proven to be true, we could be looking at the next numbered Crash game sooner rather than later!
