Here’s a list of PlayStation 4 titles that will not work with the PlayStation 5
We’ve known for quite a while now that the PlayStation 5 will be backwards compatible with the PlayStation 4 and not with the previous generations. Sony has reiterated that the “overwhelming majority” of the 4,000 or so PS4 games will be playable on the PS5 but even then, there are some titles that will not work.
In a blog post on the Playstation Support page, Sony has clarified that some of these playable titles will benefit from the PlayStation 5 “Game Boost”, which will make certain games run on a higher or smoother frame rate. Sony has also given a warning that although some PS4 games may work on the PS5, some of these games may show unexpected behavior, so before you purchase any add-ons or DLC, be sure that you are happy with the performance first.
Sony also lists down 10 of those PS4 titles that will not work with the PS5:
- DWVR
- Afro Samurai 2 Revenge of Kuma Volume One
- TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2
- Just Deal With It!
- Shadow Complex Remastered
- Robinson: The Journey
- We Sing
- Hitman Go: Definitive Edition
- Shadwen
- Joe’s Diner
The good news is that these aren’t exactly “big” titles, and while we imagine that parts of the population of PS4 gamers may be playing these, there is an estimated 4,000 more titles to choose from. Take your pick!
