In case you didn’t know yet, the PS Plus games for September 2021 are now available to download and in particular, Hitman 2 has a neat little trick that will allow players to enjoy the game with upgraded performance on the PS5 without spending a single penny.
As outlined by Push Square, the steps are fairly simple to do and shouldn’t take you more than a couple of clicks on the PlayStation store.

- Claim your free PS Plus game (R1/US, R3/SG)
- Redeem the free Hitman 3 Starter Pack (R1/US, R3/SG)
- Redeem the free Hitman 3 Access Pass: Hitman 2 Standard Edition (R1/US, R3/SG)
- Launch Hitman 3 Starter Pack on your PS5 and access Hitman 2.
- Enjoy.
Instead of accessing the game directly on your PS5, this workaround will allow you to play the same title but with current-gen benefits like 4K resolution, 60fps, and even DualSense support.
Not bad for a few minutes of work, just the way Agent 47 would want it to be.
