In an announcement that probably most Xbox fans were thinking of but not hoping for, Halo Infinite has now been officially delayed to 2021, citing COVID related reasons that have affected not just 343, but the entire gaming industry and the world as a whole.
Judging from the announcement, it’s a good sign that 343 have listened to player feedback and are looking for ways to further improve the product that will result in an “experience that meets our vision”.
Halo Infinite was supposed to be the flagship title that would accompany the Series X launch in November but with that no longer available, Microsoft will have to rely on its solid backwards compatible lineup and outstanding service in game pass to tow them into the next generation.

After what some consider to be a divisive campaign gameplay reveal, developers 343 Industries dish out a massive win for Halo and Xbox fans as they announce that Halo Infinite multiplayer will be free-to-play and to take advantage of the massive power of the Series X, support 120FPS.
The official announcement reads that “Halo is for everyone” and assured fans that more details will be announced at a later date.
While the Halo Infinite multiplayer has not been revealed yet, it is an integral part of a Halo experience and knowing that it will take full advantage of the capabilities of the Series X will put fans of the game at ease.
There is a lot riding on the return of Master Chief, especially as it anchors the launch of the Series X later this year. While it will not be a Series X exclusive, playing on the next gen console will give you the definitive Halo experience that fans have been longing for.
During the Xbox games showcase, Microsoft officially showed off its campaign gameplay video for Halo Infinite, which is set to release later this year for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. More importantly, it’ll be available for game pass subscribers on day one!

Wasn’t that a bit… underwhelming? The graphics look good and frames look smooth but overall, the reveal lacked oomph amidst all the build up. Master Chief has a grappling hook which he has use in and out of combat, the game now sports an open world of sorts, and much more improvements like upgrades to usher in a new generation of Halo after being quiet for so long but it still looks like a work in progress and will need much more to hype everyone up. No multiplayer was shown, so that could be something worth watching out for since Halo is well known for its fantastic multiplayer gameplay.
