Superhot: Mind Control Delete free for owners of the original game, will release on July 16

Once slated as an expansion to the original game from 2016, Superhot: Mind Control Delete is now scheduled for release on July 16 as a full standalone title and the Superhot team is awesome enough to give it our for free if you own the original game.

Well, to be clear, if you ‘bought’ the original game.

According to the Superhot Website, if you purchased the original game before July 16 from any of the platforms the game is available on (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Games Store, Origin, or GOG), then you are qualified for a free copy.

Basically, if you purchased SUPERHOT for one of the supported platforms and paid money for it at any time before the 16th of July 2020, then you’re probably a fantastic human being and you’re eligible for a free copy of SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE. How you acquire your free copy varies from platform to platform – see details below.

Superhot: Mind Control Delete, which was originally an expansion to 2016’s Superhot but grew into a stand-alone game, now has a release date: It will launch July 16, developer Superhot Team announced Thursday. Anybody who bought the original game — that is, spent money on Superhot, rather than got it via a giveaway like Twitch Prime or Xbox Games With Gold — will get the follow-up for free.

If you acquired your copy via giveaways like Twitch Prime or Xbox Games with Gold or Game Pass, then unfortunately you’re out of luck.

Mind Control Delete will feature the following:

Much bigger than its predecessors, MCD immerses you in its world for days of increasingly explosive slow-motion combat.

More mechanics at your disposal than ever before. Experiment with different play styles, different character builds, different ways to outsmart and dominate your enemies.

More power to accumulate as you progress through the game. Amass skills, hacks, special techniques to conquer waves of ever more dangerous enemies.

More characters for you to control and for your enemies to throw at you. Test your arsenal of tricks and weapons against increasingly deadlier, smarter foes.

More polish applied over nearly four years of Early Access development.

No price point has been set yet for this standalone title but if you want to get it for free, now is the time to do so as the original Superhot game is on sale for only $10, or around PHP500.
