Project PIGI aims to help game developers from the Philippines bring their games to life
Game Dev in the region is slowly getting some love thanks to some wonderful programs. First, it was the Toge Game Fund Initiative from Toge Productions, and now, the local talent will be put in the spotlight thanks to Project PIGI.
Project PIGI, better known as the Philippine Indie Games Initiative, is the brainchild of Ranida Games, Squeaky Wheel, and YangYang Mobile – all established local independent game studios. The initiative invites developers from the Philippines to submit their prototypes to gain a shot at getting to pitch their game to local and international audiences.
The initiative starts this August, where a 6 month period until January 2022 will see monthly game dev panels help out aspiring developers. January – March 2022 will be the finalist selection and mentoring stage, where 10 finalists will continue receiving advice prior to the actual Pitch on April 2022.
You can find out more about the program on the Project PIGI official website. Interested parties can register their interest HERE.
