Blizzard Entertainment has released the first in a series of developer insight videos for Diablo IV that aim to highlight the wealth of features and design inspirations that make Sanctuary a world worth exploring.

In this “World of Sanctuary” video, members of the team discuss how players will be able to jump into an all-immersive experience and how they crafted the darkest and most expansive version of Sanctuary in the series.

Senior quest designer II Harrison Pink, game director Joe Shely, senior dungeon designer Dini McMurry, and art director John Mueller go on to talk about art direction, world-building, and much more in the video, which you can see below:

In related news, Diablo IV will be having its early access and open beta on March 17-19 and March 24-26 respectively, allowing players to hop into the game ahead of its June 6 release date.
