Lollipop Chainsaw Remake Coming in 2023
Publisher Dragami Games has announced that a Lollipop Chainsaw remake is coming in 2023.
The upcoming remake will be led by the original producer Yoshimi Yasuda alongside the staff from the original game, and despite receiving a release window, no platforms were specified as of writing.
Yasuda posted a lengthy message on his Twitter account, outlining the history of the game along with mentioning that the IP has been bought from Kadokawa Games, with Warner Bros. Games assisting in development work.
With the desire to have players easily play the game again, the remake project became a reality, but Yasuda has mentioned that there will be elements that will be different from the original, such as the soundtrack consisting of new music since the original 16 licensed tracks would be hard to implement again for this release.
The Lollipop Chainsaw remake will also take a more “realistic approach” to graphics this time around thanks to the power of the current hardware.
