Ghost of Tsushima has Sold Over 9.73 Million Copies
Sucker Punch has revealed that Ghost of Tsushima has sold over 9.73 million copies since it launched back in July 17, 2020.
The reveal came during the second anniversary of the game, which happened over the weekend. Alongside this, the developers have also revealed some interesting statistics – 75.18 million foxes have been petted, 998.5 million standoffs have been initiated, 94.76 million onsens visited, and much more.
This is certainly a huge milestone for Sucker Punch and for Sony, especially since the game is a new IP compared to the likes of God of War and The Last of Us. Horizon Zero Dawn hit the 20 million sales milestone earlier this year, and considering that the game has also launched for the PC, it would be safe to assume that Ghost of Tsushima will see another boost when it eventually comes to the PC.
In other news, Jin Sakai is taking his exploits to the big screen, with a movie adaptation in the works that’s being written by Takashi Doscher and directed by John Wick’s Chad Stahelski.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is now available for the PS4 and PS5.
