Take-Two Interactive has announced that Grand Theft Auto VI’s marketing campaign will officially begin this summer, building anticipation for what is expected to be the biggest game launch of the decade.
The publisher reaffirmed its confidence in the game’s November 2025 release window, despite widespread industry delays affecting other major titles.

Rockstar Games Confident in November Launch
During its latest earnings call, Take-Two emphasized that Rockstar Games is on track to meet its ambitious timeline. The company highlighted that Grand Theft Auto VI is positioned to be a record-breaking release, with marketing efforts designed to dominate the gaming conversation throughout the year.
“Our execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach Fiscal 2027 – which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry – led by the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this Summer. “
IGN spoke separately to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick and, when asked about the release date, Zelnick replied with “I feel good about it. Very good about it.”

Grand Theft Auto VI Launching With Physical Version
Late last month, reports leaked that the game might launch exclusively digitally to avoid spoilers. Zelnic has now come forward and says that is not the case.
Speaking to Variety, Zelnick addressed the reports, saying physical copies will not be delayed, with a simple reply: “That’s not the plan.”

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to release on Thursday, November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series.
