Kojima Productions has announced that Death Stranding 2 will receive a major update on March 19, with PS5 players receiving updates at the same time.
New Gameplay Additions: “To the Wilder” Mode and VR Training
Players can take on the punishing “To the Wilder” mode, a merciless challenge for Death Stranding 2 that pushes porters to their limits in hostile environments. Completing deliveries here demands ingenuity and grit, rewarding players with unique satisfaction and recognition from fellow porters.
Additionally, Sam can unlock new bandanas via the “Trapped in a Strange Realm” VR training area, where past confrontations can be relived. The Chiral Feline also makes its debut, appearing in private rooms and Photo Mode.
Death Stranding 2 PC-Exclusive Technical Enhancements
The PC edition of Death Stranding 2 boasts:
- DLSS, FSR, and XeSS support for advanced upscaling and frame generation.
- Uncapped frame rates and customizable graphical settings.
- Super-ultrawide (32:9) gameplay support and 21:9 ultrawide cutscenes.
