Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arc System Works have announced that Peni Parker will be a playable character in MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls. She joins Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, and Star-Lord as part of the newly revealed team, The Amazing Guardians.

The announcement also revealed a new stage, Knowhere, and teased fresh story content in Episode Mode, where players will see how this unlikely team bands together against overwhelming threats.

Marvel Tokon New Playable Character: Peni Parker

The latest addition, Peni Parker, is a Japanese-American student and a brilliant young scientist. Her inclusion expands the roster to 12 playable characters, with 4 stages available in the EVO Japan 2026 demo.

• Peni Parker pilots her mech suit SP//dr, bringing gadget-based improvisation and unique mechanics to the battlefield.
• She occasionally slips into Japanese dialogue, adding flavor across different language voiceovers.

The Promoter Enters the Arena

A new character, Xirena Awhina (The Promoter), voiced by Sabrina Fest, was also introduced. As an Elder of the Universe, she organizes a high-stakes tournament that will decide Earth’s fate.

Gameplay Updates

Based on feedback from the previous Closed Beta tests, the development team has made several refinements and improvements to the game, including:

• Automatic Team Name Generation: Teams now get lore-inspired names announced in battle.
• Refinements from Closed Beta: Feedback-driven improvements enhance combat flow and balance.
• Hands-On Demo: Fans can try Peni Parker and the Knowhere stage at EVO Japan 2026 (May 1–3).
