nubia Neo 5 GT 5G Unboxing
The nubia Neo 5 GT 5G has finally arrived, and it’s quite an interesting proposition. Priced at PHP17,999, this flagship model in the Neo 5 series packs a 144Hz display, advanced cooling systems, and shoulder triggers to deliver an exceptional mobile gaming experience.
nubia graciously sent over a unit for us to check out and see if it indeed lives up to its gaming promise. While that comes later, we’ll do an unboxing first and take a closer look at its inclusions to see what makes the Neo 5 GT 5G a compelling package.

The nubia Neo 5 GT 5G has a pretty huge box compared to many phones being released today. You can see a very gamer-centric design on the box, which was formed in partnership with Delta Force. That alone should tell you what kind of phone this is.

Okay, so it’s not really a box, but a designed sleeve that contains two other boxes inside, one with the phone and another with a GT “Game Master Suit” that holds various accessories.

One of the boxes contains the phone, with a highlight of its key features, such as:
- Built-in 18,600 Cooling Fan
- 550Hz Neo Triggers
- 144Hz Gaming Display
- MediaTek D7400 2.6GHz
- 6,210mAh Battery
This particular model comes with 512GB of internal storage and 24GB of RAM, and it also includes an 80W charger and a rubber-coated charging cable. While I would have wished the cable were double-braided, this is not bad.

One thing to note about the nubia Neo 5 GT 5G is that it bucks the usual trend of having camera bumps by creating a phone with a flat back. There’s also an RGB light panel on the right if you’re feeling the gamer aesthetic, which you can turn on and off.
It also comes with a case if you want to cover things up, which is something phone manufacturers should do more of.
The other box is where things get a bit interesting, as the nubia Neo 5 GT 5G package comes with more accessories like a GT cable, GT buds, and a magnetic case for your other compatible accessories.

Here’s what everything looks like out in the open. The gamer aesthetic continues to shine with these accessories, especially with the GT buds, where its transparent case has RGB lighting as well when opened.

All things considered, for PHP17,999, the nubia Neo 5 GT 5G is a reasonably priced package for what you get. Quality and longevity aside, you’re getting a lot of stuff for what you’re paying. While the gamer design takes getting used to, if you’re looking for a phone for gaming, this could be one to consider.
