Independent developer Good Knight Collective has officially announced Sepak U – Sports Fighting Game, a wild new title that fuses the intensity of fighting games with the strategic flair of volleyball and football.

Inspired by the Southeast Asian sport Sepak Takraw, Sepak U brings cultural flavor, competitive depth, and cinematic flair to the arena.

Second Wind: A Fighting Game First

Sepak U is a 1–to 4-player fighting game that reimagines Sepak Takraw, a sport blending volleyball and football, through the lens of competitive gaming. Players battle across 21 arenas using ball mechanics like curves, sinkers, and power smashes, all while mastering fighting game systems such as specials, ultimates, and gauges.

Sepak U also introduces the Second Wind Upgrade System, a roguelike mechanic in which the losing player receives an upgrade between rounds.

Diverse Cast and Deep Replayability

From a mischievous Filipino demon to a chicken and an Asian mom, Sepak U’s 21-character roster is as wild as its gameplay. The arenas and story mode draw from Philippine, Southeast Asian, and global cultures, including Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Spain, and South America.

With over 10 hours of solo/co-op content, randomized arcade ladders, minigames, and epic boss fights, the game offers replayability beyond the ring. Competitive players will appreciate features like online play, replays, training mode, and even in-game webcam integration for streamers and tournaments.
