Despite the rain, SM Mall of Asia’s Main Atrium was buzzing with excitement as it opened its doors for the Cyberzone Card Collective on August 29-30, 2026. The two-day gathering transformed the space into a celebration of trading card games, bringing together collectors, competitors, and casual hobbyists under one roof.
With a total prize pool valued at PHP120,000 across four tournaments, pack-opening battles, a bustling marketplace, special guest appearances, and more, the event was not to be missed because the usual retail space has now empowered not only tech enthusiasts and creators but also the dedicated communities that form around collectible cards, making it the #TechWeLikeZoneWeLove.

Cyberzone Card Collective Event Recap
As a celebration of cards, community, and culture, Cyberzone Card Collective leans fully into tactile experience despite almost everything going digital. Entertainment can now be experienced on screens, but the Cyberzone Card Collective provides the physical joy of shuffling a deck and the social bonds formed across a table.
On Day 1, Magic: The Gathering took the spotlight. Players jumped right into Duel Commander for intense battles, encouraging strategy and something you cannot get from a digital format – table-talk banter. Day 2 opened itself up to crowd favorites: Riftbound, the League of Legends trading card game that brings the champions of Runeterra to the tabletop, and the ever-popular Pokémon TCG, where trainers of all ages will compete with their favorite collections.
These four tournaments form the core of the event, offering serious players a chance to prove themselves while remaining accessible enough for relative newcomers who simply want to experience the atmosphere. And best of all, it’s free registration for everybody!

Apart from competition, the Cyberzone Card Collective also hosted a range of activities such as Pack Wars that allowed attendees the chance to crack open booster packs, along with a marketplace that had vendor showcase stations where visitors could browse singles, sealed product, accessories, and playmats, or simply trade cards with fellow collectors.

Additionally, Tech Zones highlight the latest innovations, reinforcing Cyberzone’s roots while showing how technology and analog hobbies can coexist. Booths showcased products from ASUS Republic of Gamers, NVIDIA, HyperX, and more, while Smart was also on hand to ensure the event and attendees were well connected throughout the weekend. Exciting raffles and giveaways also offered additional chances to win exclusive prizes.

For years, Cyberzone has served as a destination for smartphones, laptops, gaming consoles, and peripherals. As a major trading card event, the Cyberzone Card Collective demonstrates an initiative to support the full spectrum of interests and hobbies that bring people together, making it the #TechWeLikeZoneWeLove.
