NBA 2K21 adds gameplay improvements to next-gen versions

Next-gen versions of NBA 2K21 will add improvements to gameplay, with changes to the pro stick controls, dribbling, and passing.

We’ve seen just how good NBA 2K21 can look like, but a lot of tweaks have also been made under the hood.

First, the pro stick can control the arc of your shots depending on how slow or fast you pull back on the analog stick. Players can also control Bank shots and layups, with the shot meter getting a redesign to look much more prominent and easier to see amidst the action. Off-dribble jumpers and 3-pointers now mimic more realistic movements.

Dribbling is also improved, allowing the player to switch speeds depending on how fast or slow you flick your analog stick. 2K Games has added new signature dribbles and stepback moves for the likes of James Harden and LeBron James while pass physics will also be more accurate, allowing for bounce touch passes and better bounce alleyoops for some highlight reel dunks.
