Genshin Impact has been met with an unprecedented amount of success, especially for a game coming out from Chinese devs. Garnering over 17 million mobile downloads in its first 4 days, the number only keeps rising as MiHoYo’s Genshin Impact has now grossed over $100 Million in less than 2 weeks. This comes from Niko Partners Senior Analyst Daniel Ahmad, who says that the top markets of the game include the US, China, Japan, and Korea, and has become the most successful launch for a Chinese developed original IP. https://twitter.com/ZhugeEX/status/1314942224665399297 Additional information from App Annie reports that the game tallied 23 million global downloads in its first week, and was even ranked as the second most downloaded game in the US in September, with Among Us sitting at the top. With this, Genshin has already recovered its reported $100 Miliion development and marketing budget, an amount evidenced by the content…

If you’ve been playing Genshin Impact (and you should), you’ll know that while the English dub is serviceable, the Japanese dub is where it’s at. The amount of talent included in the Japanese voice acting cast is off the charts. In particular, Rie Tanaka, who plays as Lisa in the game, has been quite the source of intellectual discussion among peers due to her constant… how do you even say it, “moaning” while climbing the many walls and mountains around the world of Genshin Impact. Futsuika’s YouTube channel posted a short clip of Rie Tanaka herself playing the game while controlling her character, and the results are hilarious. Tanaka is embarrassed at the amount of lewd sounds while climbing and she even goes on to imitate her in-game lines during the stream. https://youtu.be/T4xpCROf8Eo Tanaka has her own YouTube channel where she has been streaming a lot of games like Fall…

MiHoYo is currently enjoying massive success due to Genshin Impact, its latest release for the PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile devices. It has become the biggest globally launched Chinese title ever, raking in over 17 million mobile downloads just in its first 4 days. The game will continue to grow and expand into the next generation of consoles including a Nintendo Switch port, but sadly, Genshin Impact will not be coming to the Xbox. In an interview with IGN Japan, MiHoYo have confirmed that “We currently don’t have any plans for an Xbox version of the game.” The reason for such was not indicated, so it could mean a number of things which no one is sure of at the moment. It could make its way soon, but it’s really anyone’s guess. MiHoYo have also confirmed that there are already plans in place regarding the game appearing on next-gen consoles,…

Genshin Impact has been a surprise hit since its release. While most free to play games are expected to have a huge number of downloads and players, of course it would still depend on the quality of the game that will keep the players wanting more. Its been a week since release and so far, according to analysts, Genshin Impact already holds the distinction of being the biggest globally launched Chinese game ever. According to an article on the South China Morning Post, Genshin Impact had more than 110,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch when it launched, beating out even the likes of Fortnite that day. App Annie also shows that the game has accumulated over 17 million global downloads in just 4 days after it’s launch, and this is just counting mobile downloads, without the inclusion of PC and PS4. https://twitter.com/appannie/status/1312884141688418304 Being a free to play game, its revenue model…

With the recent announcement of Among Us 2, the devs have confirmed just as easily that Part 2 has indeed been cancelled and will instead focus on adding all the content and improvements planned into the current game. The announcement was made on a blog post by Developers Innersloth, saying that “All of the content we had planned for Among Us 2 will instead go into Among Us 1. This is probably the more difficult choice because it means going deep into the core code of the game and reworking several parts of it. We have lots of things planned and we’re excited to bring new content to everyone as you continue to enjoy playing!” The planned improvements down the line will include Colorblind support, a friends / account system, a new stage (yay!), and continuous server improvements. No schedule has been revealed for these improvements but we can expect…

As announced on the PlayStation Blog, Genshin Impact will be making its way to the PlayStation 4 on September 28, the same day it launches on the PC and Mobile devices as well. It is a free-to-play open world action RPG that, if you remember, was heavily maligned because it bore a striking resemblance to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. While it does have some similarities, extensive gameplay footage show marked differences as well. https://youtu.be/GTKW3x6x5ZQ The overview of the game reads as follows: In Genshin Impact, you play as a mysterious being known as the Traveler. After you are suddenly separated from your sibling, you find yourself stripped of your former powers and helplessly stranded in a new unfamiliar world.
