Volition has announced that it will be shutting down, effective immediately, after 30 years in the industry. As an update on LinkedIn, the company says that this was due to a restructuring program by the Embracer Group that “evaluated strategic and operational goals,” resulting in this unfortunate incident. “This past June, Embracer Group announced a restructuring program to strengthen Embracer and maintain its position as a leader in the video game industry. Sony has announced that the PlayStation Portal will be launching in select markets on November 15, 2023 and will retail for $199.99. As noted on the PlayStation Blog, the remote player is now available for pre-order at PlayStation Direct in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
