HoYoverse has announced that the Genshin Concert 2022-Melodies of an Endless Journey is scheduled to happen on October 2, 2022, taking players on a musical experience through the first two years of the game.
Genshin Impact and HOYO-MiX have invited the world-famous composer, arranger, and music producer Shiro SAGISU to serve as Music Director, in partnership with the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra and talented musicians around the world.
Shiro SAGISU, who has served as music producer and composer for many fan-favorite films and anime, including Neon Genesis Evangelion, will be collaborating with various bands and musicians to reimagine the iconic tracks of Genshin Impact in contemporary styles.
Genshin Concert 2022 is approximately 75 minutes long, treating players to authentic renditions and creative adaptations of iconic Genshin Impact soundtracks. The Hollywood Chamber Orchestra will give classic symphonic performances, conducted by award-winning music conductor and composer, Eímear Noone, who is best known for her extensive work on video game music.
“Creating music for Genshin Impact has always been an endless exploration for me and the HOYO-MiX team,” said Yu-Peng Chen, Composer and Music Producer of HOYO-MiX. “In the past year, as Inazuma and Sumeru unfolded, we’ve strived to enrich the Genshin Impact music with inspirations drawn from all over the world. I’m excited to see how these soundtracks resonate with musicians and players across the world.”
“The original Genshin Impact soundtracks fit perfectly into the actual in-game scenes and ambiance, and also provide much to imagine beyond the game,” said Shiro SAGISU. “Together with the HOYO-MiX team and global artists, we’ve tried different touches to the music, weaving elements of pop music, rock, and jazz into it. Hopefully, we can create a refreshing and fun experience for the players.”
Genshin Concert 2022 is viewable via the official Genshin Impact YouTube channel at 12:00 PM SGT (12 PM Philippines) on October 2, 2022.
