We may not have gotten Metroid 4 during Nintendo’s E3 showcase, but we did get Metroid Dread, a new Metroid story for the first time in 19 years. Not only that, but we get a couple of goodies alongside it when it launches on October 8 – Amiibo’s and a Special Edition of the game!
First off are the Samus and E.M.M.I Amiibo’s, which will launch alongside the game on October 8. As spotted by Nintendo Life, both figures can be used once a day. Of first use, Samus gives an energy tank to increase your health by 100, and E.M.M.I. will give you a Missile+ tank which increases your missile capacity by 10. Succeeding uses will replenish your health and missile ammo.
A Special Edition of Metroid Dread was revealed as well, which will contain collectibles that will surely scratch the collector itch.
The Metroid Special Edition includes:
- The full game
- A collectible steelbook
- 5 Art Cards
Metroid Dread is releasing on October 8 for the Nintendo Switch.
