New Mass Effect game in development led by ‘veteran team’

Thank you, Bioware.

Hot on the heels of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition announcement was another tidbit that probably nobody predicted, despite the remaster being the worst kept secret in gaming nowadays.

A “veteran team” is working on the “next chapter of the Mass Effect universe” and while that gets us excited, there’s currently no more information apart from that, Bioware Studio GM Casey Hudson has announced.

All they have to show for it (for now) is a beautiful art piece of the upcoming project.

After the trilogy, Andromeda didn’t quite capture the magic of the games before it, leading the public to believe that we won’t be seeing another game again, despite the massive (heh) success of the trilogy, especially Mass Effect 2.

The project is in the very early stages of development, so don’t expect to see this anytime soon, but it is comforting to know that the franchise is back and hopefully better than ever.
