Coming from an original November 2021 release date, Rockstar Games has now announced that Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online will be released for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on March 15, 2022.

Grand Theft Auto V Next-Gen Features

The release, which is somehow competing with Skyrim to release on an unprecedented number of console generations, will include a whole host of new features, including the following:

  • New graphics modes with up to 4K resolution, up to 60 frames per second
  • Texture and draw distance upgrades
  • HDR options and ray-tracing
  • Faster loading times
  • Immersive 3D audio
  • Platform-specific features like advanced haptic feedback
  • Save file migration

Grand Theft Auto 6 Now Confirmed

Rockstar has also announced that the long-awaited next entry in the series is in “active development”, which should bring excitement to fans who have been looking forward to it for a long time.

No other details have been given at this point, so we’ll have to wait for further news from Rockstar as soon as they are ready.

Will you be getting Grand Theft Auto V (again) for your PS5 or Xbox Series?
