Resident Evil 8, or as it is now called, Resident Evil: Village is no longer a rumor. Officially announced during the PlayStation 5 reveal event and it is looking as scary as ever, steeped in witchcraft and will be bringing back Ethan from Resident Evil 7 and the iconic Chris Redfield.

Check out the creepy announcement trailer below:

In line with the announcement, a special developer message from Tsuyoshi Kanda and Pete Fabiano, both producers for the upcoming title, goes on the record to say that this new game will be “upping the ante on action a bit”.

They also go on to say that “Realistic graphics and immersive audio coupled with no load times will really draw you into the world we’ve created for Resident Evil Village”.

As per the official Resident Evil: Village site, we can expect new information about the game in August.
