Square Enix and Luminous Productions have released the latest “Magic Combat” trailer for their upcoming open-world action RPG, Forspoken.

This 5-minute deep dive trailer showcases many of the abilities players will be able to use in the game and how each type will be beneficial to our heroine depending on what the situation calls for.

Over at the PlayStation Blog, Lead Visual Effects Artist Ryota Nozoe discusses the various spells and their inspirations that would define the “look” for all of Frey’s abilities.

In a previous trailer, a Magic Parkour deep dive was also detailed, showing off Frey’s traversal prowess.

Forspoken is scheduled to be released on January 24, 2023 for the PS5 and PC.
