Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will run at 4K and ‘at least 30FPS’ for the Xbox Series X

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been a hot topic as of late. From its stunning reveal to the magnificent Collectors Edition, and even to a gameplay trailer that unfortunately leaves the gameplay out, Valhalla has been making the headlines.

Now, Valhalla is the topic once again, with talks saying that the next offering from Ubisoft won’t play at 60FPS even for the Xbox Series X, which is the most powerful console coming into the next generation. Even the Microsoft site isn’t advertising the game as such.

According to a translation from an article on Eurogamer by WCCFTech, this is what Ubisoft had to say:

Ubisoft has always been committed to exploring new technologies, taking advantage of the capabilities of new consoles to deliver the most immersive experience possible, which is why we are excited to be collaborating with Microsoft to bring Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to the Xbox Series X.

Currently, we can guarantee that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will run at least 30 FPS. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will benefit from faster loading times, allowing players to immerse themselves in history and the world without friction. Finally, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will benefit from improved graphics made possible by the Xbox Series X, and we can’t wait to see the beautiful world we’re creating in stunning 4K resolution.

We will have a lot more to show you about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in the near future, so stay tuned for more information soon.

Valhalla will at least run at 4K 30FPS, but no mention of the possibility of adding that option to play at an increased frame rate at the cost of resolution so there could still be a chance that it is added in before it officially releases. That ball is in Ubisoft’s court, shouldn’t be too much to ask for that, right?

Given that the game will not push for 60FPS, the next generation hardware will allow other benefits like faster loading times, something that is definitely welcome given the atrocious load times everyone had to endure while playing Odyssey.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is scheduled to release on the Holiday of 2020 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
