Here’s when and how you can access the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War open beta

Activision has just released open beta details for its next Call of Duty title, Black Ops Cold War and it starts as early as October 8 for those who have pre-ordered their digital copies.

In a lengthy post over at the Activision Blog, there will be 2 weekends of availability, with the first weekend exclusive to PlayStation owners and the second for a crossplay experience, available across all platforms.

Weekend 1 (PlayStation Exclusive)

  • October 8-9 early access for PlayStation 4 players who have pre-ordered the game.
  • October 10-12 will be free for all PlayStation 4 players.

Weekend 2 (Crossplay)

  • October 15-16 will be for Xbox and PC pre-orders and open access for all PlayStation 4 players.
  • October 17-19 will be open for all players across all platforms.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will support cross-platform and cross-generation play as well as cross-progression, ensuring that whenever you decide to jump in on the action.

Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and is scheduled to release on November 13.
