Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light announced for the Nintendo Switch
A lot of people may know characters like Marth and Lucina from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or some other Smash Bros. installment from years ago. But do you know about the legend of ‘Pantless Marth’? Well now you’re gonna, because the Fire Emblem game that started it all is making a comeback in full retro fashion as Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on December 4.
Launching as a Japanese only title 30 years ago, the game will release with full English translation and of course, some modern day quality of life improvements like rewind, fast-forward, and save states.
Following the trend of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light will be a limited time release and will only be available to purchase until March 31, 2021. The game will launch digitally on the Switch eShop but will also showcase an Anniversary Edition that comes with a lot of goodies like a deluxe art book, a replica game box, and a digital game download.
