Ubisoft delays Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake indefinitely

Delays continue to plague 2021 as the next casualty is the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake, which has been moved to an unannounced “later date”. This is from a developer update on the Prince of Persia Twitter page, and marks the second delay from their originally announced January 21st release.

The update cites an outpouring of feedback from the community, which led to questions about the art style of the remake. It’s a good guess that this caused the delay, rather than shipping out something that fans of the franchise won’t be happy with.

This also marks the third Ubisoft game being delayed, following Farcry 6 and Riders Republic. While it’s sad to admit, it gives us more to time to catch up with all our backlog, which mostly consists of… well, some other Ubisoft games as well.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a remake of the original 2003 critically acclaimed classic and is planned to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
