Sifu drop kicks its way to a February 2022 release date

Sifu has been quite the enigma on the game event circuit, being announced during February’s State of Play and featured in almost every pocket event that followed. Recently, it was struck with an unfortunate delay, bringing it from 2021 to 2022.

As the penultimate announcement for the recently concluded Gamescom Opening Night Livestream, Sifu finally gets its release date, and it is probably one of the easiest to remember – February 22, 2022 or 2/22/22. That’s a lot of two’s.

Alongside the release date is a brand-new gameplay trailer, which you can check out below:

Geoff Keighley describes it “as fluid as the Arkham games with the precision of fighting games. If it plays like Arkham with the precision of Tekken, say no more and count us in!

The game is primarily a revenge tale where the titular character is training for that final showdown to take down the gang who murdered their family. I’m getting sold by the minute, and with the release date finally revealed, Sifu will seriously make for a killer February.

Sifu is launching on February 22, 2022 for the PS4, PS5, and PC.
