Following the previous update that saw a host of new characters join the playable roster, Genshin Impact’s v2.2 update, entitled “Into the Perilous Labyrinth of Fog”, goes live on October 13, 2021. The update brings the last of the six major islands of Inazuma, a new playable character Thoma, and a series of new challenges and mini-games full of fun and rewards.

Tsurumi Island, the last major island of Inazuma, is shrouded in dense fog and will pose challenges to adventurers who come unprepared. The beasts of the land can inflict a corrosion status which will continuously damage party members regardless if they’re shielded or not.

A new 4-star playable character, Thoma, will also make his way to your roster provided you are lucky enough to summon for his services. Thoma holds a Pyro Vision and wields a polearm as his weapon. He is also a reliable teammate in combat, providing strong defense and buffs.

A brand-new series of seasonal events such as “Labyrinth Warriors” – an event where players can venture into a mystic domain in Inazuma with “Childe” Tartaglia, Eleventh of the Fatui Harbingers and Xinyan, Liyue’s rock ‘n’ roll musician. “Tuned to the World’s Sounds” is another seasonal event where players can enjoy the rhythm game and play different styles of music with Ningguang, Zhongli, Keqing, Xiao, Sangonomiya Kokomi, Kamisato Ayaka, and the Raiden Shogun.

A Genshin Impact v2.2 special program was aired over the weekend which goes on a deep-dive of all the new features that come with the update.
