Let’s Unbox the Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Premium Collector’s Edition
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is finally available worldwide. Newcomers and fans are finally getting a taste of FromSoftware’s next banger, with many already getting stuck at some boss somewhere in their playthrough. It’s not a FromSoftware game if this doesn’t happen, right?
We aren’t currently stuck with any bosses, but we are unboxing a package fit for a boss in the Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Premium Collector’s Edition.
First announced in April, the Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Premium Collector’s Edition immediately sent fans into a frenzy, not only because it was such a beautiful package but also because its price was eye-watering. Retailing for a whopping $449.99 (PHP 31,495), this is certainly not for the faint of heart or wallet.
Bandai Namco seems to have found a formula for their Collector’s Editions, putting out an astronomical “Premium” edition for the most hardcore of fans. They initially did it with Elden Ring, and now with Tekken 8. Despite the price, it launched in limited quantities and immediately sold out locally.

The Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Premium Collector’s Edition includes the following items:
- Base Game
- Exclusive Steelbook
- Stickers
- Artbook
- Pin Badges
- Digital Soundtrack
- 19 cm Figurine
- 32 cm garage for the figurine
The contents are very similar to the “lower” tier Collector’s Edition, which retailed for $229.99 (PHP 15,795.00), except for the 32 cm garage, which immediately doubled the price.
The price alone will discourage any would-be buyers. With Collector’s Editions normally ranging around the $150–$200 price point, going close to $500 is console territory already and will understandably be a tough ask for most. Is it worth it? Fans who have been waiting for the game for a long time may say yes with no questions asked, but we’ll leave you to decide if the price tag merits a recommendation.
We’re not here to talk about price, though, so let’s proceed to unbox the Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Premium Collector’s Edition!
Let’s Unbox the Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Premium Collector’s Edition
First off, the full Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Premium Collector’s Edition comes in two separate boxes: one for the garage and another for everything else. We’ll get to the garage later!
The Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Collector’s Edition box is quite small, but that key visual looks really nice, especially when paired with the white borders of the PS5 version.
Once the outer sleeve has been removed, we get a nicely themed inner box that, when opened, reveals the first two items: the pins and the base game, along with the superbly designed steelbook.
The stickers are also a nice touch, showing the many emblems and insignias that can be seen in the game.
There’s also a hardcover artbook, and while the page count leaves a lot to be desired, it still contains some fantastic art pieces to admire.
While quite short on miscellaneous paraphernalia, we’re immediately brought to the 19 cm figurine. Opening up the box, you’ll immediately see the properly packed contents, and as with most toy figures, you’ll see some nice plastic on it that separates all of the loose parts.
The figurine consists of multiple parts – 2 back attachments, 1 extra head, 1 right-hand weapon (and hand), 1 left hand, and 1 left-hand attachment. It also comes with a base on which you can display the figure, along with documentation that shows where and how to attach the parts.
One thing to note is that the figure is not poseable, and all attachments are just slotted into holes with ease. It’s hard to go wrong with attaching the parts, but take care not to break any of the connections since none of these parts are really that flexible.
Finally, we have the big one. The Garage is the sole differentiator between the normal Collector’s Edition and the Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Premium Collector’s Edition.
And it is BIG. Check out how big the box is (PS5 game for scale).
Thankfully, the contents are packed really well, with generous amounts of foam and padding to take care of the parts.
Here it is!
Before we stop talking (or writing), it’s important to note that the figure will only fit in the garage without the back attachments. With the back attachments, it’ll get stuck with the other trimmings of the garage, so take care with placing it in!
The garage also comes with a few attachments that simply add to the visual flair of the package.
And lastly, the full Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Premium Collector’s Edition spread.
