Rockstar Games has released the first trailer for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, which is scheduled to launch in 2025.
According to the Take 2 Games website, the game is launching on PS5 and Xbox Series, notably leaving the last-gen consoles behind and a PC release.
The trailer was scheduled to drop much later, but an unfortunate leak over at X/Twitter forced Rockstar to change their plans and launch it earlier than expected.
Set to Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road,” we see our protagonists as they live a dangerous life in Miami, the setting for the latest installment. All the information in the trailer seemingly confirms the reports from last year, pointing out a female protagonist and having a “Bonnie and Clyde-influenced story starring two lead characters.”

Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser says, “Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences. We’re thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.”
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch in 2025.
