Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is another adventure from Kasuga and Kiryu that figures in many antics and substories. One of these is the Miss Match dating mini-game, which features real-life models to play as Kasuga’s dates, including RE4 Ashley’s body double, PeachMilky.

All things considered, the whole mini-game is quite interesting and is not simply a way to see these lovely ladies center stage. To make the most out of this mini-game, here’s a guide to show you how to get to the featured models while avoiding many of the bogus profiles out there!

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth – Miss Match Guide

You can unlock the Miss Match app after completing Substory 6 at any point after unlocking the open world. Go southwest of the Revolve Bar, and you’ll know you’re on the right path when you meet Machiko after being mistaken for someone’s date. Machiko then introduces you to the app, and magic will begin!

Miss Match functions like the Cabaret Club dating mini-games seen in most Like A Dragon and Judgment titles, mixed with the telephone chat game seen in Yakuza 0. It’s a streamlined mini-game that works well in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. After completing the substory, you can play this mini-game by talking to Machiko inside the pancake house southwest of Revolve Bar.

First, you have to set up your profile: list your occupation, your traits, your hobbies, what you’re looking for, and even your profile icon. To start matching, you have to pay $10 to get points. You can match up to ten dates, and you can revisit previous dates through the memories icon.

The key to getting a high score in Miss Match is to get your profile right, as that earns you some quick points before you even start the mini-game. In my experience, the gentleman route seems to be the best persona to embody. If you get the occupation and hobbies correct, you’re about halfway to scoring a hot date!

As you proceed with the matching, you have to fill the rapport meter to the max. You can earn up to 20 points per conversation, lose points through bad choices, or crawl your way to victory. You get a photo every time you cross a threshold. Once you hit the heart icon, we recommend staying above it just in case you run into some complications.

As you send your responses, you have to key in a button sequence that gets more complicated the longer your text message. In most cases, consistent answers yield the best results. If you input the wrong key, you get a strike. Three strikes, and you miss out on sending the message.

The emoji roulette is what complicates the mini-game a little bit. Selecting the best emoji adds up to 25 points to your total score, and the wrong emoji docks some points. The higher the member status of your date, the more difficult the roulette wheel. Finally, the love bomb combo rush is your final chance to rack up points before the mini-game ends. By keying in a sequence of texts, you can stack your meter and get some points.

If you play your cards right, you get a date! If you don’t, well, you lose your points, and then you have to pay to try again. The one thing that’s cool about this mini-game in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is that you get a date right away rather than doing multiple activities like in other Like A Dragon games.

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth – How to Match with Naomi

One of the featured models, Naomi, is probably the easiest one to match with. Set your profile to gentleman, trait: serious, occupation: civil servant, hobbies: reading and cafe hopping, looking for: something serious. You’ll be able to get a 90-100% match, which grants you an initial score of 15-20 points.

This is where setting up your profile is key. If you choose civil servant as an answer but did not set your occupation as civil servant, you’ll be caught lying and, in effect, lose points. So make sure that’s your job on your profile! For hobbies, you can select reading even if you didn’t put it on your profile, but you can get more points in your initial match.

As you proceed with the conversation, be as romantic as you can be. This will build rapport with Naomi, and you can at least have a pretty good score by the time you get to the emoji roulette. As a platinum member, her roulette is challenging, and you may end up with a bad draw. You can make up for it by scoring a 4-6 combo in the final round.

How to Match with Sophie

Unlike Naomi and Lin Xiang, Sophie is a Gold Member, which makes her emoji roulette a little easier. Out of the three, she probably has the most difficult setup in terms of your profile. She likes elegant men, so the gentleman trait is a good start.

Set up your profile as follows: persona: gentleman, occupation: entrepreneur or hero, looking for: open to meeting anybody, trait: kind, hobbies: listening to music and cafe-hopping. In my playthrough, I was able to secure about 60–75%, which will give you 8–10 points to start.

The occupation part is pretty tricky. You can choose hero or entrepreneur, and you will get about the same amount of points for either. So it’s up to you. In terms of hobbies, she likes listening to music, so that’s the optimal selection.

As your conversations go, treat her as a regular person and not a princess. Easier said than done.

Your score may be lower with Sophie, but her emoji roulette is quite easy. You can bag an easy 25 points this way. Finally, you can make up for it in the final round by adding to your total score with a 4-6 final combo.

How to Match with Lin Xiang/Rinshan

Probably the hardest of the three featured models. As a platinum member, I would say she has the hardest emoji roulette of the three, with three bummer emojis and a good emoji sandwiched in between. This will easily ruin your game, so build a good profile to start.

Set up your profile as: persona: gentleman, trait: kind or serious, occupation: model, hobbies: cooking and staying in, looking for: friendship. Like Sophie, I was able to secure about 60-75% match score, so it’s a decent 8-10 points.

Getting model and cooking will get you a good 20 points overall. It’s an easy way to get ahead of the curve, especially since during her conversations, she will go against what she wrote on her profile. She hates simps, but she appreciates sincerity. Be a gentleman, be genuine, but don’t be garish. Let the Kasuga charm win in the end!

Finally, good luck with the emoji roulette. It’s a bit challenging, and whatever points you lose, make up for it with a 5-7 combo in the final round. After that, you’ve just met all the featured models in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth!

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth – Other Dates?

While there are a total of ten dates you can go for in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth’s Miss Match app, be careful of catfishes. Once you get all the models, you can continue to meet more dates, but you’ll get more than what you bargained for.

It is possible to get all dates by staying within the basic subscription. Be careful spending your money on extra icons or higher tier subscriptions, it is Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth after all, and scams are everywhere. By repeating past dates, you can increase your social stats, so there’s that!
