Genshin Impact’s Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup 2024 Gets $60,000 Prize Pool

HoYoverse has announced the new season of Genshin Impact’s Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup is arriving in 2024 with an updated competition system and a $60,000 prize pool.

Here’s everything you need to know about the updated system of the 2024 Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup.

Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup Regional Tournaments and Wild Card Competitions

For the first time ever, players will be divided into Atlantic and Pacific Regional Tournaments. This expansion allows elite players to compete against opponents from an even broader area.

This year’s The Prince Cup will feature top players from the previous “Cat’s Tail Gathering.” Specifically, both The Prince Cup: PACIFIC and The Prince Cup: ATLANTIC will comprise the top 24 players from the community event. Additionally, 8 spots remain to be decided through the Wild Card competitions.

Registration is now available for the Wild Card competitions, and these matches serve as the last chance for players to qualify for the new season. As an added incentive, successful participants will receive 160 Primogems and an exclusive in-game card back.

Interested players can register their interest here:

These Wild Card events are scheduled for April 26–28 (Atlantic Region) and May 17–19 (Pacific Region). Successful participants will not only advance but also receive the aforementioned rewards.

Broadcast Schedule

Every match, from the Top 32 playoffs to the final showdowns in each regional tournament, will be broadcast during the upcoming season. Interested viewers can spectate on various channels like @AstraCarnival on X, YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok, as well as via @GenshinImpactOfficial on Twitch and @genshinimpact_en on TikTok.

Qualifying and Advancing

After the qualified Prince Cup players have been decided, they will need to advance through the Regular Season (Top 32) and Knockout Stage (Top 8) to become the champion of their region. In the Regular Season, 32 top duelists will be randomly divided into 4 groups to decide the strongest 8 players.

Advancing to the Knockout Stage, the Top 8 will compete face-to-face in Bo5 double-elimination matches, and the last two standing will compete in a Bo7 to decide the final champion and winner of the $16,000 prize!

  • Regular Season (Top 32): May to June (Atlantic), June to July (Pacific)
  • Knockout Stage (Top 8): July (Atlantic), August (Pacific)
